TMS Group specializes in inertial testing for military, commercial, and high-speed race boats. Our Advanced Testing of Mass in Motion (ATOM²) program employs cutting-edge Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) to measure and analyze 3-dimensional accelerations, rotations, and angular velocities at critical points on the hull, shock-mitigating seats, and human operators.
Our IMUs are capable of measuring triaxial accelerations up to 200 G’s, with user-defined sampling rates of up to 1,600Hz. These units can also be filtered at any low-pass frequency to eliminate structure-borne noise and resonances, ensuring the collection of the most accurate, high-quality data.
